Keeping it Real...

Hello! You've reached the Autism Boy Mom. I'm a mom of four boys, two for sure on the Autism spectrum with one more in the process of being tested. Life is crazy and busy and messily wonderful. My husband and I decided that the pandemic was a good time for both of us to go back to school so here we are with two in elementary school, one in preschool, a toddler, my husband in Pre-Veterinary Sciences, and myself pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing while also looking at Grad Schools. We have school, piano lessons, in home Autism ABA therapy, an Autism-specific preschool, a toddler on a Paw Patrol kick, and a messy house. There are days where it feels so overwhelming and so not-what-I-had-planned-for-myself and like everything is imploding or falling apart and then my kids come give huge hugs or snuggles at just the right moment. Follow me on my journey of trying to manage schedules, learn how best to help each of my children reach their highest potential, trying to get the laundry from the washer to the dryer in time, all while making sure that my kids know how incredibly loved they are. We'll take about tips and tricks we've learned for food training, meltdown managers, and learning to pick our battles. There will be many messes *cough* still haven't gotten over my preschooler painting my couch last year *cough* There will be tears. There will be meltdowns (mommy might have a few as well...). But there will also be loads of hugs, snuggles, smiles, and happy times.
Here's a sweet picture of a family photo shoot we did last year. Stay tuned for more cute pics
